Welcome to Children of Light Counseling: Stepping from Shadows into His Light
Hello and welcome!
If you're here, you might be carrying something heavy—anxiety that won't let go, a relationship that's frayed at the edges, grief that lingers longer than expected, or perhaps a quiet sense that something deeper needs attention. Maybe you've even whispered a prayer asking God for clarity, peace, or a way forward.
You're not alone in that moment. And you're exactly why I started Children of Light Counseling right here in Spokane.
The name comes straight from Scripture:
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” — Ephesians 5:8 (NIV)
This verse has always spoken deeply to me. It doesn't deny the darkness we've walked through—pain, mistakes, confusion, or seasons where hope felt distant. Instead, it declares a beautiful truth: In Christ, our identity shifts. We become children of light—not because we've earned it, but because He has shone His grace into our lives.
Living as children of light means pursuing goodness, righteousness, and truth (Ephesians 5:9). It means healing isn't just about symptom management; it's about restoration—of heart, mind, relationships, and our walk with God. That's the heartbeat of this practice.
What We Offer At Children of Light Counseling, we provide professional, licensed therapy grounded in Christian faith and evidence-based approaches. Whether you're dealing with:
Anxiety, depression, or stress
Trauma or past wounds
Marriage or family challenges
Spiritual questions or feeling distant from God
Life transitions, grief, or identity struggles
I understand the unique rhythms of life here—the beauty of the Inland Northwest, the challenges of our community, and the ways faith plays a vital role for so many. My passion is walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they discover freedom, renewed purpose, and deeper connection—with themselves, others, and God.
